In spite of the seeming distractions that the Fellowship in Nigeria suffered in 2011, God moved in the power of His might to prove Himself faithful and true to His promises. It was indeed a season of unparalleled blessings to the people of God. The numerical growth in the Chapter count of the Fellowship in Nigeria went past the 3,000 mark. God has been absolutely faithful and  to Him be all the glory. Amen.

This National Convention is tagged "2012 Lagos National Convention"

  It will hold in the city of Lagos, the Commercial Capital of Nigeria. It will be the biggest and the most attended single Convention ever in Nigeria and probably beyond. This Convention will also have an international flair. From the national historical records, this will be the 70th Convention in Nigeria. We shall be inviting our international members and friends to attend in good number to be part of what the Lord intends to do beginning from year 2012 all over the FGBMFI world, Nigeria inclusive. The Convention is being packaged by a twenty-man Convention Planning Committee, made up of senior members of the Fellowship in Nigeria. The team is ably led by the Chairman of the National Conventions Committee, Ayoola Badejo, who has superintendence over Conventions in Nigeria. The Committee that has been formally inaugurated, has already commenced their assignment in earnest.

There shall be evening rallies, teachings on divers and relevant subjects, meal meetings for Eminent Persons, Top Business and Government Executives, International Guests, Men's and Ladies Meetings, Traditional Rulers, etc at different locations within the city of Lagos. The platform is being set to draw together members from different nations across Europe, Americas - North and South, Caribbean, African, Asia, and from other parts of the world. Thus, a renewal of commitment to the original vision will be actualised and the drive and motivation to do a great work shall be rekindled. The vision is all about people not individuals or a group of individuals.

It is therefore my great pleasure and delight, and on behalf of the National Executive Committee of the Fellowship in Nigeria, to formally use this medium to invite all our members in Nigeria and of course also, our numerous friends from other FGBMFI/FGBMF/BMF nations to attend this epoch-making Nigerian National Convention. It shall be a great time of visitation and renewal. The Convention will run from August 15 to 18, 2012.
