The nation of The Gambia was adopted by the Enugu Zone of the fellowship under the
then Nation Director Mr. Umera Anachebe way back in 2008. Sir Eddy Madumere accompanied
the IVP(WA) Arc. Azike Diribe for the first visit and feasibility study in May.
Between the 6th of July to the 15th July 2009 a four man delegation from the Enugu
Zone of the Fellowship organized a follow up airlift to the Gambia. The delegation
was made up of Sir Eddy N. Madumere ND, Lady Regina Madumere (Wife of ND), Dr Greg
Okwuosa FR and Mr Zubi Okolo Chapter President
. The delegation was met at the Airport
by the National President of the FGBMFI in the Gambia Mr. Kwasi Mensah. After a
meeting with the leaders in the Gambia to get acquainted with the programme the
delegation also visited the Hospital to pray with the wife of the National President
who was hospitalized. |

Activities began in earnest on the 7th July with a Journey to Basse which
is about
396 Km by Road where the first dinner outreach was held with 94 persons in attendance,
34 first timers and 22 salvations. A mini ALTS was also held. On the return to Banjul
2 ALTS programmes were held on the 9th /10th July at the Corinthia Atlantic Hotel/Manjai
Lodge and a Voice distribution exercise on the morning of the 10th July including
a visit to the Chief Justice of Gambia and the President of the Gambian Court of
Appeal. On Saturday a breakfast outreach and a dinner were held with a total attendance
of 115 with 31 first timers and 21 salvations. A new Chapter was organized. Prominent
amongst the attendees were the CJ of The Gambia.

The President of the Gambia Court of Appeal, A Minister in the Nigerian High Commission,
a former Attorney General of The Gambia and so many others. The Senegambia Executive
chapter was relaunched with membership cutting across the crème of the society.
A a total of 1000 voice, 10 Chapter manual, Vision Intensified 5, LOTF 5, Super
ALTS 10, OGWY 1 Pkt, Decision 2 Pkts, NTYHRC 100 were given to the chapters This
was a great and successful trip to the Gambia – to God be the glory. Two chapters
were organized and with the prophetic utterances we hope that by 2010 many more
chapters
will be launched. |
